I had an interesting discussion with my student this morning about names. I casually asked how they chose their names. In my family most of us would have two names. My mom gave me two first names. The first one was taken from a magazine article whose character, a goddess of wisdom, became the source of my name. The second one, of course, was that of a saint. But when I fielded that question to my student, she told me that in her family (or maybe the whole community) consulted fortune tellers when it comes to naming their kids. How about in your case? How do you choose the names of the precious bundles in your family?
