I remember him from my childhood. I loved Sha na na and bowswer. he later went on to do the game show thing and appeared on match game, and password plus to name two. He is a very intelligent man. He attended The Julliard school at age 12 and graduated Magna Cu* Laude from columbia university. Do you remember him?

Do I remember them?! Sha na na na na na...they were some of the best! I especially remember and enjoyed Bowser's deep voice. It didn't really fit his appearance. I also agree with you that Jon Baumen is extremely intelligent; yet, he plays the dumb greaser so well. We have a rescued dog who is as dumb as a box of rocks (although he's a real sweetheart). We named him Bowser, and the name really fits him.

I used to love Sha Na Na as a kid. I didn't watch as many game shows back then, but I've caught his game show appearances on GSN and clips from YouTube. I didn't realize until later that he hosted the Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour sometime in the early-1980s (He hosted the Hollywood Squares portion; Gene Rayburn hosted the Match Game portion.)

I sure do remember him. What a great performer... really knew how to play a crowd! At the time, he was unlike all others with his "signature move" and his brilliant acting as the dumb greaser. Unfortunately, after a few game show appearances, we've never heard much at all from him. If you look back on history, not many guys really obtain huge success with deep voices.. but he was one of the few. I suspect that there will not be another one quite like him. I would say that he earned every bit of success he's ever received.
