Dangerous (Do not drink Coca-Cola and eat MENTOS together)

LOL you said last week but that picture is dated 2005... and possibly the first month is 2 .. so how can it be last week? ..

I saw this on Mythbusters. They dropped a Mentos into a bottle of diet coke, and it went up like a geyser. It was pretty cool, and it apparently does that every time. There's something in the candy that reacts with the carbon dioxide, causing it to bubble over and "explode," but I don't think it would really kill you. You'd probably have to ingest quite a lot at a time. But let's see what happens.

The experiemnt works. However the person dying is purely myth.

I am pretty sure that this is just an urban legend. I saw the same Mythbusters episode mentioned here and it didn't kill anyone.

I saw the clipe with the test tube ful of mentos and the cola going to the top of a tree, could it really kill someone just from eating them at the same time? I wouldnt have thought so unless he had a mouth full of them and choke, but still highly unlikely to repeat itself. Can't imagine how anyone would discover this in the firstplace, not sure it's amusing

I've seen this happen in real life (the coke exploding, not someone dying). It REALLY freaks me out. Good thing I don't drink soda pops in the first place!

Hi we tried it. We put menthos into a bottle of coke...like a bomb. But in our stomack the cola behaves in other way. Anyways I never drink cola.

HI, actually over here in my town, everyone know that when you combine coca-cola and mentos it expolde, alot kids seem to play with that and they even try with other things too, me myself discovery when you put too many skittles in to dr pepper it can explore but not as much as cola and mentos.

I had not heard of anyone dying, but you can get pretty sick. I won't say it is impossible, becaue I think you can actually die by drinking too much water. Have a safe and happy day.
