why is it that media are lairs

the media are alway adding to stories or exaggerating on what not real.i think they cause problem in the society

Because exaggeration and hyperbole is what sells news. Do you buy a newspaper or watch the news you're complaining about? Then you're part of the problem, along with everyone else who does.

I agree! However society can be to blame just as equally. They do these things to make the stories seem more interesting to get viewers to watch them and we reinforce that way of thinking by tuning in and watching/waiting for the top headline story to be shown. It may be their jobs to present the news, but every station needs views and a quota to meet and as long as people keep buying into it there is no reason for them to stop.

I totally agree with you. In fact, I was offered an interview for a certain popular Christian ministry to do a story, but I had to decline the offer when they started to exaggerate it and add to it stuff that was not true, and I would not fall for it. This problem seems to be everywhere, and it does add to society's problems.
