Idiots on Yahoo Answers!

I posted a question on Yahoo Answers tonight. I have used this service a few times and although I have never gotten a lot of replies, I have always got at least a few replies, all relevant to the question I asked, and usually at least one response that is really good advice or answer to my question. However, and excuse me for saying what I must, I think all the idiots are on yahoo answers replying to questions tonight! You see, at the moment my family and I are staying with a friend at his house. We are looking for an apartment or house to rent and live in so we can be on our own. The trouble is we have looked in the newspapers, online and even walked about town looking for "for rent" signs. There are very few places listed for the area where we need to get a place, or at least, they are very hard to fine. Anyways, I explained this situation on Yahoo answers and asked if anyone had any leads who could tell me where I might find places for rent in my area. I thought it was a pretty simple question, but I guess not. So far I have gotten three replies total. The first response informs me that I can make money on the internet using Project Payday. The second answer gives me a link which goes to a search page result and has links for finding cheap airfare or good hotel prices, etc. The person who summited the third response directs me to a website that appears to try and educate you on how to buy a house and/or how to know if you should rent or buy, etc. I'd like to know how these people think that any of that relates to or answers my question. All I wanted to know is anyone knew of an address of a place in our that was for rent or if anyone knew a homeowner or landlord that had a place for rent in the area where we needed it, etc. Instead I get a bunch of nonsense answers! I'll say it again, all the idiots are on yahoo answers replying to questions tonight! Anyways, have any of you ever used Yahoo Answers? What kind of luck have you had with Yahoo Answers?

I've never used Yahoo answers but I have seen it a time or two and, yes, the answers I saw seemed to be good ones. The ones you got tonight are just stupid As for the other part, have you thought about calling real estate offices in that area? Here where I live real estate salespeople often know who has a rental or who handles such things in the area.

Hell fwidman! No, we had not thought to call real estate agents as we have always just associated them as people who sell houses. It never occured to us that a real estate agent might now where there is place for rent or that they knew of landlords or others that might have rental properties. Thanks for the advice! We'll look into that!

Years ago, I thought like that. Then, while my ex and I were looking for a rental we found one that was actually owned by a real estate salesman He had bought the house himself, just as a rental property to make some money on the side. Good luck with finding a home!

I have tried it once or twice. But I admit I don't use them as a primary information source. Depending on what I am looking for I use more sources that are more in tune with what I want. I use local info for local things and sites related to a specific thing or issue for others.

One time I had a question about vista. I was asking about a anti virus that could be used on vista. I got about 6 responses saying that I should get rid of vista, and get windows xp. So my question was never answered.
