Issues with HP

I am a big fan of HP computers. Never had a problem with one. I recently got a new HP Pavilion computer. It has Vista on it. One of these 2 companies has really screwed up my computer with their updates so I am not allowing any more updates from either of them. It started when I allowed HP to update my computer. When HP finished with its updates the computer try to restart and it came up with the message can not restart you computer will try to fix errors. Well it fixed the error and started but every since the computer has had problems. Then it updated again 2 weeks later and did the same thing only this time I had to do a system restore to get it fixed. Then Vista updated a week later and it would not start up again and it had to fix the errors. So at that point I turned off all updates from HP and Vista . I think though it has probably damaged some files and I will probably have to reformat the computer at which point my first task will be to turn off all updates!! LOL I am surprised at HP. I am a loyal customer and am stunned that they would put out bad updates. Anyone else having issues like this with hp and vista.

Hmm from what it sounds like you may have gotten a messed up computer to begin with because it should not be doing that. I have an HP myself but it does not have vista on it and it's running perfectly run. I even upgraded the power supply and video card for gaming. I got my computer right before vista out because of that reason. Wasn't sure if i wanted Vista. Takes too much memory (unless you got one of the 3gb ram HP's). But what you could do is call up HP and see what they have to say about it. If you still have the warranty, you could take it back to where you got it and see whats up. They wouldn't leave you hanging, i can assure you that much. HP is great. =] hope i helped.

Good advice. Well its too late to take it back to store but I am thinking I will talk to hp about it and see what they say because its still under warranty. Or I may reformat it and turn off updates.
