CRT or Plasma?

If your TV is not on a rotating surface, which type of television do you prefer, CRT or Plasma? I prefer the CRT TV (flat) because in plasma televisions, there's some kind of deviation in the image when you see it from the side. This is actually a silly reason. Our dining room is almost next to the living room. From there, we can see the TV from a 45 - 60 degree angle. Does anyone have the same reason if you prefer CRT? Also, I don't like that sort of "liquid look" from the Plasma TV screen. Or maybe I haven't seen the really high-end models of plasmas?

I want to switch to plasma because it's much cooler in the eyes but I also don't want the plasma tv because a "burn" of a image that's displayed for too long in the screen(e.g. tv network logos displayed either on top left or right of the screen) leaves a mark in the display even you turn it off. Also,I've heard that plasmas consume more power than crts. So, I'll just stick with my old bestfriend.

Wow, thanks for sharing that information. I've never owned a plasma TV and don't know that it actually "burns". I think I'll stick with CRT too. Our TV has been with us for more than a decade and it's only been broken once. Now, there's some dark areas but still useful.

Welcome. This is the main reason why LCD went prevalent on computers, mobile phones, and tvs. LCDs are very different than plasmas. They don't "burn" the image and it's more durable than plasmas.
