I have a lab rott mix and she is about 9 years old. recently we got a kitten and at first the kitten didnt like the dog but now they love each other. I was kinda worried at first because the cat was a little skiddish and would hide but now they play, they sleep next to each other, It would rather eat the dogs food instead of his food. I think its pretty amazing, i was really worried they wouldnt get along. Glad they did! sometimes they even cuddle up against each other. its just toooo cute!

Hey Jen! Unfortunately my dog HATES my cats. Even though they were here first, from the day we got the dog she just decided the cats were a threat to her relationship with us and she terrorizes them every chance she gets. They, therefore, don't like her either. I've never had a problem with dogs and cats getting along before, there's just something about this particular dog. She's a beagle and they usually aren't very aggressive but she's got good watch dog skills too.

My dogs and cats get along.. In fact I am pretty sure my cats think my Collie Braeydn is a cat.. Either that or he gives off cat pheromones.. because they constantly go to him, sleep on him. talk to him.. when the cats are out in the yard though they like to chase them.. but that may be the collie thing.. and they think they are trying to herd them. But I have always had cats and dogs together...

Started off with two sibling cats-Loki and Darla. Did the unforgiveable and brought home a big slobbering basset hound. (Georgia.) Cats didn't know WHAT to do, so they basically lived upstairs for a year. My mother, who seems to attract cats like a magnet, :), adopted another one who had kittens. Hence, the introduction of Grace to our household. I said I could take ONE of the kittens...So now I have George and Gracie, who get along pretty well. The weird part is, as soon as we brought a third cat in, Loki and Darla now get along with the dog, too. (Well, Loki "gets along" and Darla "tolerates". Sort of. Not really. But then Darla only really seems to like people. :) Loki and Grace are practically inseparable, and love to wrestle and chase each other all over. George, however, thinks they're fighting and steps in to break them up. She gets right in between them-"you over here, and you over there!"
