breastfeeding week

this week is breastfeeding week. who among you breastfed or are breastfeeding your children. i'd say it's such a great effort for mothers to breastfeed their babies. though uncomfortable at times, especially when your outdoors, mothers who still prefer to breastfeed are really doing everything to give their milk to their babies. i know cause i breastfed all my 3 sons for more than a year each. it wasn't easy and very uncomfortable. but because i know that it's the best for them i did it.
do tell us your experience in breastfeeding.

i did nurse both my daughters. i couldnt for very long with my first, but with my second i did until she decided she didnt want it anymore. she was 3 by then, and i wouldnt trade a second of those years for anything. regardless of the discomfort, which really wasnt so bad after the first month or so.. the problems of public places and the scorn of others for doing it at all, it was the most enjoyable and rewarding experience of my life, and agree that more women should take the time and at least try to do it for whatever amount of time they can.
