Is e-gold having problems right now?

Just wondering if anyone has encountered a problem with using e-gold recently. I tried to sign up for a couple of websites that used to offfer forex trading accounts that can be funded with e-gold, but they are now saying that e-gold capability for their websites are 'temporarily not available'. One site explained that e-gold is having problems with it 'exchangers'. I do remember e-gold being indicted in the US under money laudering charges, but that case was resolved and e-gold was functioning again. So, anyone know what the problem is now?
