is it ok for your cousin to start rumors about you?

I am 17 days older then my cousin and we have always been close. But last week she started a rumor about me stating that I had been with someone who is 16 years older then me. Which i know is not true.
So my question is, is it ok for her to start that kind of rumor?
And how should i get back at her?

Uhm, NOBODY has the right to start a rumor that bad, or any rumor for that matter --- moreso if she is your cousin.
If this happened to me, it is definitely NOT okay.
you SHOULD NOT get back at her because it will just make things worse. Wat you should do is talk to her and ask why she even started the rumor. Is she jealous? Is she mad, I mean c'mon, get to the root of the problem. I guess she wouldn't start any rumor if there was nothing wrong right?
