I like reading a lot. I have collections of good books. I put it in the book shelf. To organize and keep for future use of my kids. Do you have a book shelf at home? Do you keep your books there? Or you use it as a division or decoration for your house?

I have two big bookshelves. One for my medical books that I study and other is partially occupied by yet again medical books and partially by the books that I enjoy reading for leisure. I am a big fan of books. I could read for days. I think reading should be encouraged over watching television. But I must admit that I too am guilty of wasting several hours watching stupidity over internet and TV. :D

It is unavoidable, because both tv and computer attracts many of us.

Let's see... In the living room, I have two big bookcases. Same thing in the kitchen. Only one bookcase in the bedroom. My son has two bookcases in his room. And my step-daughter has one in hers. I also have about six boxes of books that don't have a home on a bookcase. And another two boxes of books that I'm ready to sell or trade. We're obviously a family of readers. We also make trips to the library. And I cannot pass up a garage sale or thrift store...without looking at the books.

Yep, it is so obvious that reading is the favorite past time in your home.

hi..We have an area in the house where we have a book shelf which also serves as a decoration for that part of the house.. We have different kinds such as children's books, novels I collected since I was in high school up to now,Computer books and many more.. My great grandma left me this antique cabinet. We took down the old door and made it into a living room mirror. It's a great sight because the books looked good inside the old cabinet..

yup!! it's a century old wooden cabinet and though it's beautiful, there's a creepy story bout it, that's why we removed the glass door..But, seems the ancestors have finally rested in peace, so there are no more occurrences...

It is common among antique collections. The creepy stories I mean.

Hi, I have lots of bookshelves, and I'm fast running out of space to keep more books. I love reading, and I would go to bookstores or book sales and buy even more, though I still have books that I haven't the time to read yet!

Hi,we used to have shelves for the books, but now there is little room so we have them stored away in the spare room, they sit in the bottom of a cabinet ,but our collection used to be huge, and as time has gone by they have had to be thinned out and we now have just kept the ones that are ultimate favourites,we cannot keep them all.

hi izathewzia! saw you at post to riches. hehe.. i have answered this thread there too. anyway, i do have a mini bookshelf because i only read books when i feel like reading one. im not a book lover really because my interests are more into arts and crafts. i would spend my time doing scrapbooking rather than reading. but there are books that i have read from cover to cover and have read them a lot of times. maybe when i have the reading interest back then ill be looking out for new bookds to read.
