Problems with pancreas

Ok so my mum had been ill for several weeks now, the docto told her today that she has problems with her pancreas but don't know how bad so she has to go for a MRI scan. At least we know what is wrong now which is one thing but has anyone you knew had problems with their pancreas? She has lost over 1 stone in weight, suffers sickness, loss of appetite and has jaundice. Anyone got any info for me? Thanks guys x
