I always take an Aleve right after my shot. My doc told me to do that to help keep the soreness down. Tylenol, etc will work too. I usually take the Aleve with me when I go to get the shot. Then i stop & get a drink on my way home & take the Aleve. Since this is your second day, I'm not sure if the Aleve/Tylenol will help but won't gurt to try it. Plus you need to move that arm as much as possible to work the soreness out. Yes it's gonna hurt a little; but, if you don't move it, it will just get worse!!! So get busy movin that arm!!!

Ice it! When my kids were young enough to still get immunizations, I would ice the site where they were injected. A lot of times shots cause painful knots and swelling and the ice helps bring that down. Don't rub it, you'll only make it worse.
