My husband and I have been married for more than a year now, and we are hoping that we will have a baby soon. We want to have a baby boy. We heard that it was possible to choose the baby's gender but do not really have an idea how that could be possible. No matter what the gender of the baby will be, we are hoping that I will get pregnant within the next month or so. Are there special precautions that we should follow? We both have jobs and I do feel that these are giving us stress but I can't quit my job right now because we signed a two-year contract and I have worked for only a year.

today i was told a news by my wife:she was pregnant.I feel my life suddently has been messed so soon without any preparation from our financial budget to mental preparation.if the baby come,i'll have to bring him up...,not only feed him up but give him the education.as long as i think all of these, i feel despairingly.so,i give you a word:"think careful before you leap..."

I know you won't feel that way once the baby arrives ;o) My husband and I are financially stable with both of us earning ;O) The budget is alright for a baby :O) Still, congratulations on your baby. Is it your first?

There is no way of choosing a baby's gender as of now, lol. As a precautionary measury, begin taking pre-natal vitamins to ensure you have enough folic acid etc for the baby. Watch what you eat and maintain a healthy diet. Good luck!

I guess I have to take those folic acids you mentioned. I still wish there is a way to choose a boy ;O) I find it hard to maintain a healthy diet as I do not like vegetables much :-(
