I still stick mine in the oven. doesn't frying them lead to a LOT of house fires?

Only when you don't follow the directions. The turkey comes out so much more moist when you fry it, just delicious. :) +

I cook every year. It is baked in the oven for about 4-5 hours. Of course I stuff it also. I don't really enjoy the white meat. It is too dry. I like the leftovers the next day also. I don't know if I would try to fry it. I am just always glad when the bones get to the dumpster. I don't have to worry about it again.

I have always cooked mine in the oven. I have heard that frying it is a lot faster and it comes out really tender.

I put mine in the oven. Have never tried the bag thing or frying it, I just put foil over mine and it seems to work really well. Can't wait til that day comes and goes. I like the day after turkey day for the leftovers.
