i am not a good swimmer, and when i was asked what my swimming style was, i was stuck, cause i can't name it. only i can tell you that, once when i was swimming backwards freely and leisurely, i was seized by my friend all of a sudden, because he thought i was drowning or dying. :) now you can tell how akward my swimming style is. :))

maybe you're doing the stroke the wrong way :) well, backstroke is an easy stroke but it also has its perks too :P my swimming style... i guess i'd go for the backstroke since it's not as stressing as freestyle.

I swim slowly and fairly competently using a mixture of different styles, like front crawl, back crawl, butterfly crawl and doggy paddle. I think anyway that you swim is fine because staying afloat is all that matters. My style is not perfect and I would never win a swimming race. I swim in pools and in the ocean as well as go snorkeling in the sea around colorful coral reefs. In a tide that it drifting me I have to watch how far out away I am floating. I swim in a semi circle rather than get tired swimming against the current. Your friend must have had a shock thinking you were drowning, luckily you were just swimming in an unusual style.

good evening, maximax, it's kind of you to say so. techniqually, my swimming can only be called floating. i can't inhale and exhale, but only with one deep breath, swim forward a few yards and stand up. you see? i swim only in the shallow part of the pool, about 1.5m deep. :))
