Ever wish you were still a kid?

I do almost everyday. They don't have half the worries and responsibilities that we do as adults. Wouldn't it be nice to just have one day where we worried about nothing but having fun? I am not saying that all kids have no worries as I have seen some that have more than we do as adults. A lot of it is due to their parents/guardians and/or friends lifestyle as well.

welcome to the wonderful world of mylot kat. i dont want to be a kid anymore for i dont enjoy much during those days. my dad is always not around on gathering and celebrations like graduations and school activities. he just gives money for he thinks that hi is only responsibility. i dont want to be a kid again for i have my own kid already. i am enjoying myself being a dad and a husband.

sorry to hear that, but i think it is better not to know him than to see him but it ooks like he does not care. he is always happy but he is happy when he is with his friends. i think that is more painful than not knowing the person. atleast you dont get hurt with what he does. wegrew up to have this anger to our dad, now that we all have our own family he is boasting about what he is as dad. all lies.

Thanks for the welcome. I am sorry to hear that your dad wasn't there for you. I know how you feel. I never knew my dad.

Yeah I think it would still be nice to be a kid. Kids have far less worries than adults do. However schools and what not are pushing way more things on kids than I had to deal with so I understand that it's defintiely not easy being a kid today either. It would be nice not having to worry about things.

They do put a lot on kids today in school. My daughters are only in grade school and they come home with stuff I have never seen or heard of before. My oldest starts High school this year and wants to be home schooled.

Yes, yes, yes. Those were the good old days! I can remember telling my kids as teens that they were wishing their lives away wishing to be older.

I know how that is! Granted my oldest is only 12 but, she is already talking about college, work, marriage and all kinds of stuff. I told her to try to wait until she is a bit older to worry about that.

I also wish someday's that I was a kid again then I would not have to take care of everything I have have to do as adult. Some times I just miss not having any worries in the world. and hanging out with friends.

Can still hang out with friends, just not the same as when we were kids. :) I think it is the worries that we want to get away from sometimes and not the responsibilities lol Can't wait till you guys come up here again!

Worries and responsibilities are all essential during the process of growing up.No one can stop the step of growing up.It's just a innocente dream of childish which we all cherish a lot.

I think that we all want to be children sometime. We all have lots of worries and responsibilities in this world and sometimes you just want to regress a bit and try not to worry for a while.:) Thanks for the response

6 is a great age. I miss that too, now I am the one to do the cooking and all that fun stuff (blech) lol. When the kids are gone for a day I am lost and then I get on here and play games, watch movies and some of the fun stuff but, still have those darn worries. :)

I had a wonderful childhood, except for the school part, I hated school but the rest of it was a wonderful fun packed innocent happy childhood, not a lot of money around but i think that was the ok part, it was just plain ordinary fun...

That's what I miss :) all the fun that you could have as a kid and the extra energy lol. I lose all my energy chasing my kids. I liked school up until 7th grade, then it went downhill for me.
