opening ceremony in beijing

It was a great ceremony and well choreographed. The participants were so well coordinated and in perfect unison, even without markers on the ground. No matter what people think of China or the Olympic games, they definitely delivered in the opening ceremony.

hi there whkaren welcome you to mylot it was a great ceremoney i watched it on tv i am from Australia i liked the drums they played they must of practice so many times. and there were a couple of thousand playing those drums and those were good moves i liked the lights and the fireworks i never seen fireworks like that before and the liuttle chinese girl who sang she was very cute little girl take care happy postings.

I taped it and have been watching a little bit at a time. First of all the "birds nest" is so impressive. It is just a beautiful building. I loved the drums. I don't know how they got all 2000 men to move in unison - I watched it with my 18 yr old and she was just speechless. I also saw the painting where the athletes walked over the ink and then onto the pad to create the painting. That was so cool - who ever thought of that. I didn't see the lighting of the torch yet. Hopefully I'll get some time later today to watch it. I also liked seeing the U.S. athletes taking the time to take pictures with the other athletes from the other countries. But from what I have seen - I have been very impressed and it is a great opening ceremony.
