There is such a thing as the good and bad fat.

Not all fats are bad. There is what we call the "good cholesterol" or good fat. Good cholesterol which is HDL (high density lipoprotein) reduces your risk of cardiac disease. This is because it prevents the formation of fat deposits on the arteries and helps in transporting fat for metabolism and excretion. Sources of good cholesterol are fish oils, like salmon trout, tuna , soya beans and orange juice.

Recently I have done a lot of research on cholesterol. My husband donated blood about 6 weeks ago and his cholesterol is outrageously high. Since then I have been reading up and checking labels on practically everything we eat. I am so concerned about him now. It is scary.
