Racism, Why do people have to be like that?

Hi, i just want to know whay people have to be racist? I mean we all grow up on the same planet. Why do some people have to think they are better than others? I really do hate racism. My parents raised me not to hate. I do not see why white people have to be disrespectful to black people and call them the N word. And why do black people have to call the white people crackers, or whitebread, etc.? I mean really people, for those of who do that, do you not have any respect for yourself? I know that both races have done bad things, there are some white people who make others look bad and the same with black people. There are some white people who kill for the fun of it, moleste children, etc. And there are black people who do drugs, always getting arrested, selling drugs, etc. But the way i see it, it goes both ways. Those things are what black and white people do. Not just one or the other. But the thing is, just because one black person or white person wants to live that way, doesn't mean the others do. There are many decent black and white people in the world. So why does the racism have to come into play? Neither side is better than the other. So what are your feelings on the subject of Racism? All opinons welcomed.
