I am 3 months pregnant now. I would like to solicit your opinion and ideas what foods should a pregnant woman eat? These should be safe and nutritious as well. As of the moment i like to eat salty foods, apples and burgers.

I'm also expecting. I continue to eat what I have before I got pregnant, I just make sure to get the extra calories needed for my baby. Another thing I also do is to drink as much water as I can. I've also started drinking milk, and eating fruits daily. Be sure to take your prenatal vitamins. I try to avoid fish. Steam your lunch meats before eating them. You might want to try to cut back on the salty foods a little. You don't want high blood pressure at this time. I don't drink teas, or sodas with caffeine. And as a matter of fact, I ate a hamburger and fries today. Just be careful, because fried foods and salty foods can give you horrible heartburn. The best thing I cna tell you is to just enjoy your pregnancy and relax as muchas you can. It's the greatest blessing in the world. I can't wait until I can meet my daughter.

Fruits are the best, eat fruit when you are hungry. During the first 3 months of pregnancy don't much too much citrus fruit, my doctor said just wait until your 4th to 5th month. Citrus can cause vomiting. Your body is still adjusting. Toasted bread are good too. Vegetables and soups are nutritious. Drink a lot of water. Take annmum milk that is good for the brain development of your baby. Try to eliminate deep fried foods, oily fatty foods, salty foods, and spicy too. Do not drink soda, softdrinks, and powder juice. Congratulations to you! Take care of yourself and your baby too.

Hi friend, This was the one thing I loved about being pregnant. My average weight has always been about 120 - 130 pounds. When I gave birth, with all three of my babies, I weighted about 200 pounds. Lucky for me the weight came off every time not long after the babies came. I think you should eat whatever you want! The salt this is a taboo though. But other than that, go for it. You'll never another reason for eating anything and everything you always wanted. Congrats, Happy eating. Cheryl

Hi Cher, Thanks for replying. Wow, you've gained a lot, you're babies must be big. I am a Filipina and my ave weight is only 92 - 94 pounds but lately my weight went up to 104 pounds already. I could go as heavy as 120 - 125 lbs maybe, but heavier than that i should worry because it's not good for my height as well. And we have to keep the baby to it's normal size to carry out a healthy normal labor. Happy Myloting to you Cher, hope we could be friends. I added you up. :)

i have a two years old son andhis pictures appears as my avatar. my wife ate a lot of fruit during herpregnancy. sour fruits for it is good for the baby's teeth and bones. she drink a lot of lemonade so i think that is good for you too. she craves of a lot of sea foods when she was pregnant. clams, oysters, shrimps, lobster, crab... that are all expensive but i have no choice but to buy her for i want her to give what she wants. just make sure you eat healthy foods. not too much of salty it may cause some urinary tract infection. congrats and always take care.

A lot of salt is not real good. Just becareful on how much you eat. There are books and I'm sure web sites that can tell you what not to eat. I always went with fruit and nuts. But I also went for the cake and ice cream and pancakes and grilled cheese and all the fatening stuff. Just eat what you feel like you want. If you crave it then it usually means that your body is lacking something you need. Just remember that even though you are pregnant(CONGRATS by the way)You don't have to double your portions. Just eat till you are no longer hungry. Don't stuff yourself. That is how I gained all my weight. Good luck in your pregnancy. It can be a wonderful experience.
