how we are to avoid the "get married" car embarrasment

Well as many know it is the tradition of any American wedding to have the newlyweds car decorated in the style of the "just got married" rattling soda cans, and "just got married" declaration written on the back. Well My fiance and I are going to be able to avoid that, and lucky us. We have rednecks for friends, and trust me I wouldn't want to see what they'd come up with. My fiance and I are vehicleless as insurance and gas just make it easier to get back to the whole "one car" fiasco. We have two, his mom's car and his dad's truck. I know as well as my fiance and hopefully his friends do, that decorating his father's truck, would not be a good idea. The truck is his favorite thing to drive, what can I say, my fiance has always been a truck man. He fel in love with me all over again when I called his blazer, a "truck". That was the second time we met, and trust me you should have seen the look in his eyes. Plus, we probably won't go on our honeymoon until later, and if we go anywhere the night of, it'll be the local inn. So that is how we are going to avoid the "Just got Hitched" truck, and the embarrassment (although quite funny) that could have been our nuptial departing car. Was your car decorated?

I agree it is usually a tradition to have the newlyweds car decorated in the just got married style with cans tied to the back, but since we are vehicleless we do not have to worry about it,even though our friends have some sense,I believe they are still stupid enough to try to decorate my dads truck,if for no other reason then to point the blame at someone else, and yeah I fell in love with you all over again when you called the Blazer a truck, and yeah if we go anywhere that night it will be to a local inn,I love you.

If we can't call it sense, then I'd say Rickey knows better... Hmm, other then that, I can't say that any of your other friends do...

The aunt who made all the gowns lent us a white car and it was decorated with flowers and lace up front but there was no "just got married" sign and no soda cans ;O)

Then you got to avoid the embarrassment of all the cans! the "just got married" isn't that bad though... lol... it's the cans.. I suppose because it's trademark. I appreciate the response, I hope you have a wonderful and lovely day.
