A few more Embarassments for China and the Olympics

As if the human rights and pollution issues weren't enough. next came the fact that the fireworks on television were in part computer generated. Then the death of the coach's father-in-law greatly took away from the opening. Now we find out that China had a little girl lip sinc the song in the opening. Why?" Because the real singer a seven year old wasn't pretty enough. How embarrassing. I guess it says a lot about the "face" China is trying to put on for the world. They will do whatever they can to look good despite the truth. I still can't get over how they wouldn't let an athlete compete and denied his visa because he had made statements that made China look bad in the Africa situation.
However, it isn't only China that looks bad. Check out this article about Spain. What were they thinking? Worse is they are sponsored by a Chinese shoe company, the owner coincedentally was the torch lighter at the ceremony. Good to see money working in other countries as well.

well i had seen the photos on the team..and its a little bit funny posing at the same time hand on the eyes trying to tease the chinese or whatever..its a strange photos i guess..that is for me...usually athletes smile or do some thumbs up thing or whatever.. but not teasing some chinese nationals or the country itself..

China is trying to look good, sure. It's all appearances. But I'm not surprised that politics is mixing into it. Too bad, if an athlete qualifies, he should be able to go.
And the Spanish team, that's just rude.
