Now That Many Of Us Are Planning Vacations

or have just taken one, I am sure many of us consider checking out the deals and Specials online before going anywhere as well. We might even belong to Travel Clubs, etc. that help us to make our decisions on where to go as well. I know for me, there is your Plane, or Amtrak ticket if you do not take your Car. And then there is your hotel room, etc. from there.
I recently found that buying a Ticket online via American Airlines.com was cheaper to get a ticket than going thru Orbitz, so you need to maybe check the real airlines as well first. So it can be interesting for sure, and I am wondering where others get their deals and bargains from. With my 10 yr. wedding anniversary only 6 months away, we are on the lookout, so any ideas you might have to offer are appreciated as well. Thanks!!

I booked a special deal flight to the Seychelles via Kenya directly through the airline. Sometimes you can belong to the email list of people wanting to hear from a specific airline. I do this with budget airlines and book straight away if I see that excellent deals have come up. I went to the USA and booked cut price train tickets on the Amtrak web site. Shopping around it the best advice when you want to find a cheap flight and travel guide books give suggestions on accommodation. You might choose a Caribbean destination or think about Belize perhaps.

Interesting comments here. I know that I always look online awhile before I book a vacation somewhere, and I usually try doing it online if I can because I know that is how to get the Best deals, and usually, the earlier you can Book a trip the better deals you will get. It is just a shame with the High cost of Fuel the prices have really increased to where all prices are like $200 or more higher for me to go to NYC now than what I paid a yr. ago for 2 people round trip.

I am not planning on taking a vacation in the near future but if anyone is, it sure is smarter to check into all this. I have noticed the huge savings and deals being advertized.Congratulations on your anniversary and hope you find a perfect place to go. I would like to go to the bahamas.

We went to Florida in April and decided last minute that we were going to fly. I was online all the time looking for a deal that we could afford as there are 5 in my family. Someone told me that if I got online at 3am, the prices go way down...so I set my alarm and woke up to get online and get tickets. Still no great deals. Finally I went to travelocity and found a link that was like last minute deals or something like that. I ended up getting 5 tickets for about $920:) I was thrilled.
