Do You Think that Someone Could Launch a Music Career on MyLot?

I have heard of people using YouTube to launch their music careers with music videos. Do you think that something similar would work on myLot? Are there musicians who are using myLot to launch or promote their music career and business? Have you run into any musicians that are using myLot to promote themselves? Do you think these people are successful?

I don't know how to do this,but I also think anything is possible. I know only a little about foreign musicians. Maybe there are some chance to be found by the guys in mylot.

I think that part of the challenge with promoting a musician on myLot is the wide variation in people. Not everyone likes the same kind of music. MyLot attracts people from all over the world with a variety of musical tastes. But is it possible? Anything is possible. [em]happy{/em}

I think you would have less of a chance to make it big in music on the myLot website. The only place to really promote it is on your personal page. MyLot would probably delete any discussions that seem to be promoting their music. Kind of like putting a referral link into a discussion. However myLot might be more lenient with the musicians. It would be a good idea to combine myLot with other sites to promote your music. You can never have too much exposure.

MyLot certainly does not give a person the same opportunities as YouTube, MySpace, or Facebook for traffic - and probably not the same number of people looking for musicians or intersted in music - although this particular "listening to music" category has scored fairly high with the number of Mylotians who have selected it as an interest category. Discussions would need to be posted that fit myLot's rules - no referral links. But lots of people post discussions that fit within the rules that refer people to their profile page for more information. So who knows? I think that the poster above probably nailed it: If myLot's owners let it fly, they let it fly. If not, an aspiring myLotian musician should try to take up swimming... Thanks for your reply!

anything possible on the internet, but... every website have it's own objective. say when we want to go shopping we go to market place - not school. its depend on what mylot owner. if he/she want mylot have feature like myspace, then its possible.

Thanks for your reply! I agree that anything is possible... especially for someone who likes to find ways to take lemons and turn them into lemonade, as the saying goes. I've heard that some people are able to have music, but only on their personal page - which would be enough for exposure. (^_^)
