What are the best freeware video editors?

Can anyone recommend some good freeware video editors? I've wanted to edit a couple of videos I have, but I'm not sure which video editors are the best. Recommendations and reasons from myLotters would be greatly appreciated!

well i recommend windows movie maker because that is the best free movie maker software that is already built in on your operating system

If You want to create a video with photos.. or you want to join clippings of video you have a best software in your Operation System itself if you are a windows user. Look for Windows Movie Maker... I havent used it in Vista.. But I heard like Movie Maker in Vista offers more features... try once if you never tried it...
