Do You Still Help Out Your Mother/Parents Even If You Live From Afar?

I come across the idea of this discussion upon remebering that months had passed already since I sent money to my old folks way back there in our province. I felt so sorry and guilty about it because being the eldest in the family, I really feel the obligation to continuously support them in their old age, especially that my mother is diabetic. I have been sending money and groceries to them because I am not just sure if my other siblings are taking care of them and supporting their needs.
Sometimes I asked myself why do I have to do this all the time while the others are not as concern as myself for my old parents' well being, as if their relying everything to me as tge eldest. I have sulked about it in the past because I thought that I was carrying the burden all by myself. I now come to realize now that the blessing of having been able to help others especially our loved ones in the family is a true glory no amount of money can replace!
I am just keeping myself in a positive disposition by bearing in mind: I am more blessed than them because because even if I have a meager income from my work, I still afforded my parents simpl joy in life-- a loving and generous daughter.
How about you, do you still find time to help out your parents even if you live from afar? Thanks for sharing!
