finally i am writing bout our trip in the mountain, i was very busy since we arrived and didnt get much time to really be in mylot. anyway, we left home noon in friday and arrived in Asheville almost 7pm. we didnt plan to stay in Asheville but the hotels in Black Mountain is either no vacancy or the only available is smoking which is a big no no to us. anyway, we found a hotel near downtown asheville and had our dog stayed with us ($20/night) but it is ok since he can sleep no problem beside he enjoy staying in a hotel - spoiled ei? we ate in downtown asheville to a restaurant called "CHORIZO" i must admit it was the best place (so far) for a mexican/spanish we ever try. my man had a lamb based meal and i had seafood paella. mine is just ok but his is amazingly yummy. i cant help but eat half of his haha. we end up eating there again the next day coz i am just too in love with the meal. i love asheville a lot, we've been there trice already and the feeling is just amazingly great. i think because it is surrounded by mountains and the neighboring town is just awesome. last time we stayed in blowing rock and it is just gorgeous in autumn, i am hoping we can go there again this year and bring mom. we left the hotel like 10am and head to the blue ridge parkway. we were both sad when we see that most of the blue berry bush is almost done with its fruit and we thought we are very late coz last year we were there 1st week of august. we saw a couple saying that there are bunch of people grabbing blueberries in the graveyard fall (i think that's the name) and it so happen that is the same place we had trailed last year. it is so funny that we thought we are a sneaky one last year thinking that it was only us who may have noticed the berries coz it was a lot then BUT those more than 30 cars near the area showed us that we are wrong. all of them have their own tumbler and even pale with blueberries on it. i told my hubby that we might be too late coz there are lots of 'em taking the berries. we head to the far area of the river and we found a lot of bushes and there is our fun. LOL i am so happy that my man is so supportive, i even teased him that he spoiled me so much coz he goes far when i asked him to do something. our dog have a lot of fun too. we spend a few hours picking them and then decide to just head to the trail and enjoy the other part of the trip. i posted here our dog photo when he is stuck in the rock, he knows how to jump to big rocks coz we do a lot of that kind of trip and for some reason he dont want to do it and just stay there waiting for us to pick him up. it was a very cute photo i think coz you can only see his head haha. he is such a good sport coz he will try to find his ways to go with us. i was stuck in one of the vine and he was just there waiting for me till i get the chance to get my self down - pretty sweet ei? we left the mountain late night (10pm i think). we arrived home past 2am and we are very tired. we plan to stay longer up there but our friend wants us to spend time with her and her daughter have a dinner together before her daughter move to her dorm. she is our very dear friend so we just decide to come home even it is too late. anyway, that is our fun time up there. it is our yearly fun coz of the blueberries so it is really great to look forward for the month of august . yay! how about you? do you have a yearly fun that you always look forward to? do you like outdoors fun? thanks for the time reading this. takecare

Hi jair.. Wow..while reading I felt like I am part of the group enjoying eating and harvesting those berries! LOL! That's cool! I am sure everyone has a wonderful time there plus with a take home fruits...Hmmmm! Yearly plan? hmmm...things that excite me is our vacation every spring or summer, depends when my hubby can get a schedule within those season! being a full time housewife, it gives us to unwind without any worries about waking up early and doing the usual routine! and summer time also since that is the time for us to go fishing and enjoy swimming a lot!

hi che, sorry for my delay was very busy lately. my man is sick since sunday and i have to make sure that he is well taken cared of. i am also doing some market research for my sister-in-law so that is keeping me up all this time. i am happy that i finally find sometime to be here again. been here every day but only to read or post one and then go to bed again and make sure that the man is sleeping like a baby LOL anyway, i have heard from the nurse today (finally!) and been able to get a new schedule to another hospital (they said it is the only one here in my town so they have to bug the doctor to accept me even at lunch break. i dont know if that will be a good one but i am hoping it to be. btw, i have read that post of yours but didnt get a chance to respond due to reasonable reason LOL i have encountered a forum in the past about it and they said a lot of negative stuff about it so i disregard to join the group and instead come to mylot. anyway, i wish you all the best on your new site i hope that helps you earn more gift shopping. good night!

There are places we go for fun. They are all in Sri Lanka. But reading your post was like being there. It was difficult reading the middle area of the post as I had to wipe the saliva from my mouth reading about all those mouth watering foods in such detail. Do you know what came to my mind when reading thie? The Enid Blyton book I read over 35 years ago. In her books she describes everything in such detail that you can visualise the scene and everything in it. I think the other responders have pointed out this already. Finally what I have to say to you is, if you have not done it yet, you should write a book.

Hey Sweetie, Sounds like you all had a wonderful time, to include your dog. So, what are we making with all those scrumptious blueberries? Catfish is right, blueberry muffins would be good. So would cheesecake or tarts or pancakes! I love to add them to my cereal or just eat the berries on their own. Anyone hungry now? I know I am. Once again, I am happy you had a good time. See ya about the site. Blessings, Carolyn

hello carolyn, yeah it was a wonderful time, i was telling my man that it feels like a week vacation even if its just about 2 days only. we both agreed that it only means that we feel wonderful about it. we dance a bit in the park (ok just thump our feet LOL) coz they have this festivity it seems. i love that town coz it shows different views and personality, people seems to be happy and just jolly in life unlike the ones we often see downtown here LOL oh bout the blueberries, i ate it just as it is put it on my cereals hmmmm..... cereals...... hmmmmmmm... homer....... i plan to add it on cheesecake, blueberry muffin and pancakes too. i am kinda holding myself back this week coz we ate a lot back there and i feel bloated so i am waiting awhile till i get back to my normal self haha! anyway, i see you around. takecare!
