You'll need: 1 1/8 cup flour 3/4 cup cornmeal 2 tbsp sugar 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 2 tbsp melted shortening 1 egg 1/8 cup milk Mix all together and dip the hotdog. Enjoy! =)

i have a good recipe for the mixture, although I will give yours a try too, but my problem is getting the batter to stick to the dog like it does when you get them at fast food or the fairs and such. It puffs up just enough so that it makes an air pocket inside, which makes the batter not stick to the dog, so when you bite into it, you get most of the batter pulled off. The flavor is good, I just can't get it to stick to the dog. ANy suggestions on that?

Hmmmm... sounds like an interesting dish! I don't eat pancakes, and in order to eat one, I sometimes top it with cheese or slice hotdogs into the batter before cooking it. This one looks quite familiar, so I am gonna try this one! Thanks for sharing!
