Sometimes, we receive feedbacks from others. Others give feedbacks that are very offending to a person. Do you think its important to keep an open mind in receiving feedbacks from others? When we are the ones giving feedback, what should we do to avoid offending or hurting the person?

Personally I think it's important to keep an open mind on everything; the reason are 1. You can hear different point view from other angles that you probably will never think of. 2. You will receive more opportunities in your life, since open mind also it's an attitude you carry as part of your personality. I don't think people here receive feedback should feel offending unless it's really personal issue. And, personally I feel it only fall into two cases: 1. you asked personal question, so you got offending if the feedback in different point of yours. In this case, why ask personal issue here. 2. People here are nice to provide feedback for any aspect; therefore, if anyone read anything that they don't like should feed offending since the feedback didn't point to your directly, in this case, why are you taking it so personally as the feedback is pointing finger on you. It's just my 2 cents!

Definitely. :) I believe that it is very important to keep an open mind in receiving feedback from others because other people see you differently the way you see yourself. xD Some could be very offensive, yes, that is given but what is important is to analyze within ourselves why a certain person said this thing towards you.

I think it is important to keep an open mind when receiving feedback because you might just learn something new, something you hadn't thought of before. It may be offensive to some, but it is their opinion and they are entitled to that opinion. I do not worry about offending someone when I leave my opinions as I am entitled to my opinion too, whether it be right or not
