A relative whos is getting married, got mad at me for playing video games

well she was my relative. who came in my room unexpectedly. I was playing Gears of War. She was in her wedding outfit. with those webby thingys. I was using a torquebow/theron and blasted an alien Locust with it, and bits and pieces of his body blew sky high. and this is a huge obvious monitor. She got mad at me cause this is a "romantic" day for seeking for love and relationships. and yelled at me cause its not playing video games. Well i didn't know. my mom said she forgot that today was a relatives wedding preparation. Even playing halo 2 and being Arbiter or masterchief is considered violent. So anyone here, regardless male or female. I kinda hate it sometimes when people say male only or female only sometimes. would you be upset if your partner a "violent" video game? Im sure her husband plays games as well. he owns a playstation 3
