Hi All, Just curious to know that what has been your worst experience in rain so far ? Was there some time you got struck in rain ; or got very much drenched with water ? I had a few experiences when I got struck in rains and got drenched or had to wait by roadside because of very very heavy rains . Please do share your experiences . I never realised the strength of the rains until I faced its wrath on July 26th 2006 in Mumbai. It was the most horrifying experience. That day we were asked to leave office at 4 in the afternoon and get home as fast as possible. Our company bus was to arrive at 4.But the deadly rains that had started as early as 11 in the afternoon showed no signs of abating and instead with every passing moment it increased in power. The bus didn't arrive and we walked our way in knee deep water on the highway. That day I realised the Power of Nature and how terrifying it can be.I reached home at 1 O clock in the morning the next day.Our colony too was underwater and I had to wade through chest high water in total darkness as the Electrcity supply throughout the city was shut off to avoid any accidents due to short circuits.I shall never forget this day when the rains played havoc.

I have two, the other is still going on in the present (seriously). Anyway, the first is when I am still about 10 years of age, I am at my grand mothers place and having my vacation, and there was this big and strong typhoon. I saw a small hurricane, hurricanes are rare in the Philippines (I think..), and I can see roofs flying from my neighbors house, no electricity, my mom and dad is way too far and my grand mothers lovely trees (really old trees, older than I am) are being blown away with the hurricane (fortunately they have strong and healthy roots, so they didnt flew away). The other, the one that is still going on, happens every rainy season. When it rains, there will be flood always (seriously). Flood as high as I think 3 feet (seriously) in some other parts more than 3 feet. Imagine that, my place where I currently live is a city but when it rains even there is no typhoon, it becomes an island.
