How many make a living from their craft?

Do you make a living from your craft? What kind of craft do you do? Would you say it solely supports your lifestyle? I make candles, jewelry and paper goods. I quit my full time job 3 years ago to get married and do this full time while I stay home with the kids. Although I'm not making a living from it yet, it has increasingly gotten better every year. I've become a 'legitimate' business instead of a hobby. Any hints on taking it further? How were you successful?

I made a living from my crafts before. I make bracelets, I buy stuffs in craft stores, make something out of it then sell it to friends. I just do it for extra income. It does not support my lifestyle, but it does help me buy the things I want. What do you do? And what do you mean by "legitimate business". I am making bracelets again, I dont have a job and this can help me. I want to make an online business, so I am starting to do crafts again.

I do jewelry and candles and paper goods, but I'm looking to make a living doing it, and have a legitimate income to help my husband pay the bills and support our household. I find that a lot of my income goes right back into more supplies. Oh yeah, and there's the fact that I'm a craft supply addict! :)

I am in the stages of attempting to make this into a working hobby. I really hope to get so good at it that both my fiance and I can stay home and make a living out of it, but I'm not sure if that will be possible. I wish I could give you some advice, but I'm sure that anything I'd say.. lol wouldn't be helpful! Good Luck to ya!
