Can you be too trusting.

I just got through reading a bunch of responses from the gentleman who said that men were bigger liars. It brought up some old baggage for me and I would love your comments. I was married to a man for 27 years and never realized he had some very dark secrets that I had no clue about. I really don't want to go into what they were but was I too trusting or dumb to know what was going on? I don't think I was in denial because I would have left him if I had known sooner. All of my friends thought we had the perfect marriage. He has a good job and everyone loves him and he continues to walk around with a straight face living the lies and only a few know the truth. After 10 years of being single I think that I have dealt with this but it sure brings up some yucky feelings. I could use some advice if you have the time. Thanks!

oh most definitely! i knew a lady and she met a man on the net and they started to like each other. so the lady thought she would take a friend with her to go and visit this fellow...she travelled a fair distance, looked him up in the phone book, seemed there was no person there at the address...no phone number etc! was she too trusting? most definitely!!!
