hey cheer up gurl... i mean its not that bad, you can still go to college, ryt? i know some kids here in our hood, who wants to go to college but to no avail, they just cant make it. though i have to admit that it really sucks when you are few marks off the one your aiming, eh? sometimes, its better to fail with a big differential rather than have it a few points off the mark, what do you think. Anyway, life must go on, so, do what you have to do. Go tell your father, he'll be proud of your bravery and honesty ,you know.

i can go to a different university yes but not one which i was aiming for. yeah people who cant even make an entry are more worse off than me but i had a chance and i blew it i should have studied more. yes i agree it is really annoying me that it is a few marks because if only i studied harder i would have got the grades!! i dont think i have the courage to tell. my brothers result comes out next thursday he will definately ask for my results i am dreading that day.

You did the best you could at the time so don't feel bad. Just keep studying hard and do your best at this college. Maybe next year you can transfer to the one you did want to go to. By the way 20 minutes isn't too bad as my son will be driving 45 minutes to his school. Luckily he only has class two days a week this semester. Next semester he will more than likely have to go more as he will need to take more credits. Good Luck to you.

Don't get upset. Just tell your dad about it and I think he'll understand. Failure is a part of one's life, you just got to accept and face it. Do good in your studies! Good morning.

Don't take it hard friend! I too have failed before but I managed to overcome that nightmare and passed it. Telling it to my dad too was the hard part during that time... I can't tell him the bad news but then I realized He need to know that I failed... After all, he's the one who is paying my school fees... He has the every right to know what happened... Just let him know about it and I'm sure he'll understand you... and lastly... be confident next time you take the exam.. if ever... it is always better the second time around! Happpy myLot friend! Keep Posting!

It's not the end of the world. If your Dad is unhappy over you making one "C" then that's not helpful. Anyways, study harder and do better the next time.

If you had done your best and you know that you had, I am sure your dad will not blame you for it. At least, you did manage to get into university (even though it is a 20 minute drive away). Not everybody had the privillege to enter into university! Lol, so you should really count your blessings! For me, my results were not good enough to enter into a university. Even if I want to study for my degree, the choice was taken away from me as my results were just not good enough to enter into an university in Singapore (my country). The competition here is just too great! (One would need to be the top 5% of their cohort in order to enter into university). So, I don't think you should be devastated. instead, you should be happy that you had the chance to study for your degree! Not everything in life would go exactly the way we want it to go. You wanted to go into university, however you did not get into your choice university, and instead entered into one that was 20 minutes drive away. So what? Would you rather not have the chance to study in a university instead? Think about it and count your blessings, my friend! By the way, congratulations on your results and your acceptance for a university degree!

you really do not know my dad lol he is one of those parents who only think A is good. and he wanted me to go to the university which is close because it is better! personally i think i could have done better but i am more worried about pleasing my dad than myself. im so sorry to hear you didn get in to a university!! you got it worse than me! one of my friends just barely got in, she didnt have a place but then she phoned and gave her a place but she didnt want the course but i guess beggars cant be choosers lol but then guess what happened she only got offered that place because the people thought she said different grade which was higher than what she actually got! but then in the end she got the place thankfully. i dont mind going to the University i am going now as i like it there and i have good friends going too just wasnt my first choice and my dad not going to be too happy!
