It has been 8 years since I last step foot in UPLB, yeah that is where I spent my college life. I went to college ear 1998 and I knew noting of the world. The university is an eye opener for me. Issues in the campus and in the country was tackled there and back then the students are more free (ok don't debate me on this if you are from uplb and is older than me, I am telling this in relative to my experience and to what is happening there right now) The food and housing there was cheap and the environment was very peaceful. I had the best time of life there.

Silliman University! My school rocks! Hehehehehehehe. I graduated last 2004 and was able to teach a course in SY 2005-2006 and i enjoyed every moment of my college life in Silliman. It's one of the oldest schools in our place (although quite young compared to other prestigious schools in the Philippines),the oldest Ametrican university in Asia, and has the wonderful laid-back lifestyle that our town is known for. I usually go to school wearing slippers and shorts. Hehehehehe. My freinds would ask me if my house has been extended to the school premises. But that's just the way silliman university is, we can wear whatever we want as long as it doesnt distract us (and others as well) from doing our schoool work. Our school campus is so large it's sometimes hard running from one class to the next! Our campus is not like those of the big-city universities. It has a land area of 61 hectares and is dotted with acacia trees, big fields where we can play and fresh air. Hehehehehe. Although it's not a Catholic school (it's a protestant school), values are also taught, along with quality education. I'm proud to be a Sillimanian! 8)

Its been some years since I have been at school and it was a couple of years ago now that I went for a trip down memory lane and drove down the streets where the two schools I went were, they are no longer there, all pulled down and now a lot of houses built on the land now, it is rather sad going beck and all is so different..
