... Hi everybody! .. if your an edubuntu o.s. user maybe you can help me out.please. ... first, why i cannot install the downloaded file? eg. itunes, yahoo msgr etc ... second, why is it, i cannot open my audio file ? ... third, why is it i cannot download any file i want? ... what is lacking in the program?

i'm an edubuntu user for quite some time but i switched to open suse. Anyway, i think itunes and yahoo messenger cannot be installed to your pc because these programs are windows based only. It means that you have to download files that are compatible for Linux O.S. or distributions like edubuntu. What kind of audio file are you opening? What is the file extension? You can only install Linux compatible programs. If you want yahoo messenger for linux, you can download pidgin or gyachi.

...oh and i can't open .zip files... even pidgin which is an executable file cannot be oprn... there is an error with my archive manager...don't you think?...
