Do you agree with me that cartoon movies are really for adults?

Most of the cartoons are for all ages and yeah, even I fall into teary eyes watching some of them (i.e. cars, robots) and some really make me laugh and enjoy. But I agree some are really for adults like anime and those that are politically inspired. Some children do not understand the concept yet. Well, as long as the rating is followed and kids don't watch them the least. If it's R-18, it should be R-18, no exceptions for younger people. Of course, some will get their way and watch them still even if they're underage. Curiosity killed the cat. I'm just hoping for more quality films to be produced and released soon.

hi jenaisle, yes some cartoon movies are not suitable for kids. for instance the simpsons (the movie and tv series). i don't think that kids understand its humor. but i really like the simpsons. other romantic cartoon movies are also more suitable for adult. beside removing violence and s_x scenes, we should also remove deeply romantic scenes if we make them for kids.

I think that the so caled kid movies hae had more and more adult content added to them. I think that one reason is that it is the adults that have to bring the child to the movie in the first place and it is the adult that will say to their friends that this movie was good or this movie was bad. The movie makers are just trying to get a bigger crowd.

Not really, there are still cartoon movies that do not make such innuendos or maybe make some but the children could never relate to so technically what they didn't really see from the movie wouldn't hurt them. But really, violence is there and sometimes I don't want the kids to see such movies as kids are bound to see these movies as real thing and follow the way the people or animals there talk. Cartoons in general have truly become stuffed with garbage these days. Have you watched any episode of Kid Next Door? The kids talk trash!

Yes now the movies for "kids" have a lot of words that the little boys or girls cant heard !!! i buy shrek in spanish from traduction from spain and wow they say a lot of bad words for kids and my nephews i remeber (they speak spanish) repeat that words :( and i think this is not ok. I agree. But if your kids go to 4rth grade and up, they probably already know about those stuff. Schools teach kids about those stuff these days.
