If we hold that God willed that Jesus had to die for our sins, are we not presenting a God who is "ungodly" beacuse he is bloodthristy and unjust? He willed that blood must be shed. He enjoyed looking at the innocent suffer and die. He was no different from some ancient Roman emperors who took pleasure in the slaughter of people in the arena. What kind of father was he? Will this vision of God not put question mark on the new testament's claim that God is a loving father?? what do you think???

God became man....became human in the Man Jesus. Which means, that God took the punishment for sin upon Himself rather than punishing us. However, like any other gift given to us, we must agree to accept the gift. God paid our debt. But He also gave people the right to choose whether or not to accept His payment. So many people just choose to go on living as they are and never accept His free gift. God is Holy. Only someone Holy and without sin could pay the debt for our sins. He loved us all so much that He took our punishment. Doesn't sound like someone bloodthirsty and taking pleasure in slaughter to me. He is my God, my Lord, my Savior, and my Best Friend. How much more loving of a Father could he be than to take my punishment for me? What earthly father would do that?

I hope don't offend anyone, I just don't understand why God need to take the punishment for human, I mean if sin is decided by God why do all the trouble to take the punishment for Himself while He just can just forgive us. Let say there is a king and one day a thief is caught, and if the king is so forgiveness shouldn't the king just forgive the thief and let him go, rather than the king himself take the jail for the thief. once again I'm sorry if I'm offended anyone..

God is holy, pure holiness. God did not create or decide sin. Anything that is not holy is sin. God created everything including the angels. And He gave the angels and humans freedom of choice of whether to be holy or to go off in their own direction. One of the three archangels, Lucifer, chose to do his own thing. He started having high thoughts of himself about how he was so wonderful and he should be worshipped instead of God. After God created man, Lucifer, who had been cast down to the earth and renamed satan, tempted Eve who went to her husband Adam and led him down the path toward sin. They only had just one commandment at that time...not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. God did not decide that this would happen, but He knew it would. And He had the answer prepared even before time...and that was that He, Himself, would take the punishment required once and for all. We cannot fathom God in any way. Humans always seem to want to figure out God. He is beyond being able to be figured out. Humans want to bring God down to our level so we can understand Him. He came down to our level in the flesh as Jesus Christ. We cannot understand what pure holiness is or how pungent the stench of sin must be to our holy God. We don't need to figure God out. All we need to do is trust Him and that He loves us enough to have taken our punishment so we could be holy like He is and spend eternity with Him rather than in hell. Hell was created for satan. Unfortunately, others will be there with satan because they don't want to trust God's love and accept that free gift He gave for our salvation. And no, you didn't offend me. I believe you are looking for answers and that is why I took this time to respond. Keep asking...keep seeking. God will reveal what you need to know. Trust Him and you can know Him.

God has His own purpose why He willed that Jesus would die for our sins in that way.. God wants Jesus to be an example to all mankind who, despite of all His sufferings still found the favor of God.. Jesus became human who suffered like men, lived like men, and experience things same with men.. We are not suppose to question how loving God is since He already demonstrated His love for us.. He let Jesus suffer in such way so that people won't say that they are suffering much..Jesus experienced the worst suffering in the world yet, He never complained.. God teaches us to be patient too to whatever struggles we are going face in this life looking unto Jesus who was able to overcome everything..
