is there aney funda --what should we eat when and -- should quantity be defined

I strongly believe that quantity of food intake is to be defined and to be fit ,then there should be no interference with the quantity but My doubt is that whether we should follow some diet regime where we would take some particular type of food in a certain age and and another type in another age? If you know something about this then clarify and suggest? I also want to know what is the best food when we are in teens...
