Lessons?

My dad and I are giving golf another shot. We can barely hit par on most holes. We go to the driving range every Thursday, and play a 9-hole game on most Sundays. I'm wondering if we need lessons, or just need to keep practicing. We're in this for the long run, but want to use our time efficiently. Thanks, Luke

Lessons may improve your technique in many ways. But you still will have to practice, practice, practice. If you truely seek improvement, a couple lessons may be good.

Thanks for the response! Mainly, we're worried we're not using the right technique. It feels right, but you can never tell. I think that if we get a professional to teach us, Our game will surely improve.

kosstr12, I wonder if you are still playing and I hope you still are. Anyway, you may consider engaging a pro to play with you on one of your games to actually know where you've gone wrong and what you need to pay attention to especially your short game. All the best.

focus on flexibility and its better to get lessons to get on the right track rather than developing bad habits early on, unless you know what ur trying to do. gd luck.

Hi, Practice is much better than lessons I think. Taking lessons maybe a fast way to improve your golf skill, but it besed on how many times you spend in golf. Don't think too much, keep balance and flexibility, you will do much better!
