I will mainly check if the keypad is good enough for messaging. I don't much use the mobile for talking. I just keep on messaging. So I will check out for it. The second main that I consider is FM. I do have a camera phone now. So lost interest in it. Only for the first few days we will be happy about it. After that we will just forget it. Hehe.

For me, I require a reasonably sized screen, at least 3.0MP camera(there's not much diff in quality between 3.0 and 5.0MP camphones),WIFI,3G,Memory card support and GPS. Design, weight and battery life is not much of a concern when buying phones since i go more for features rather than the style, even at the expense of battery life. Until recently, good screen clarity in direct sunlight means Nokia but since I'm anti-nokia, I won't get one. Sony Ericsson is gettings its act together though, and some of its newer phones have quite good screen clarity in direct sunlight.

First of all i look at the clarity of the screen of the cell phone. For me the screen should be wide and should have a good clarity and contrast. Then once i am satisfied with the clarity i will look at the sound clarity of the mobile because i like to listen to the music all the time so for me speakers of the phone should be perfect and have good clarity. After that i will look at the camera and photo clarity. Then last but not least the overall look of the phone, i like the phones with sharpen edges.

Messaging & camera... I use email a lot from my phone for work & personal use, although I much prefer just calling, & since I don't feel like carrying camera around, having a decent camera built into my phone would be nice... Battery life is also important & screen size...
