I am working on a project with my Nephew. He wanted to be able to release some helium balloons with something to track them to see how far they would go. Together, we decided to expand this idea a lot bigger. We have put up a website for other people to release their own balloons and track them on our website to see if anyone finds them. It's an easy system to use. We want to see how many ballons we can get released and tracked around the world. Please take a moment and check out the website, and if you have the means follow the instructions and release a balloon so we can try and track them. If you are a school teacher, this would be a great project for your students, it could be used as a science project to show wind patterns or something. We will be releasing some balloons ourselfs in the next few days,a nd add the data to the website, but like I said we would like to take this project worldwide. www.balloonreleasetracker.com Thanks All

Sounds like a fun idea. I can really se a lot of different ways you could use this as far as learning goes. It could be used from English with the writing, to science studying the distance and time it took. Then there is the math and even the history of it all. Sounds like a fun way to learn and I hope you get many responses.
