respond to a discussion and add comment?

Hi all, What is the difference between 'respond to a discussion' and 'add comment'? is the payment for both different? information would be helpful... Thnx

respond to discussion refers to post your views in oter's disutions topics and add comments stands for adding your own comments to others view in THE DISCUSSIONS STARTED BY YOURSELF
