I think the most dominant fighter in the UFC today is Georges St Pierre. He is exceptionally good at all things MMA. Definitely the pound for pound best fighter in the sport.

In the UFC, it is Anderson Silva. As much as I like GSP, you cant deny that Silva is the most dominant champion. Hes been defending that belt for a couple years now and that guy is getting bored. I think he will win against Leites. And hoping that he would face Maia if Maia stays undefeated.

I gotta go with GSP as well, yeah, he's lost a FEW times, but he's seriously, always the welterweight champ..did anyone see his fight with Fitch? He was flawless, like he'd sparred with Fitch for years and owned everytime before that. My vote goes for GSP, hands down, I'd love to see him go against Spider Silva, wooo..that would be a friggin' good brawl.

Personally Anderson Silva is the best. If GSP even had the man goods to bump up and get in the octagon, he would still get knocked out. Anderson Silva #1 MMA God!!!!!!

My vote will go to Anderson Silva. Talking of dominance in UFC, this guy has already tied with Royce Gracie and Jon Fitch with the most consecutive wins in UFC (8 consecutive wins); tied with Matt Hughes with the most title defense wins (5 if the fight with Travis Lutter will be counted); and also fights as a light-heavyweight (the division with the most number of powerhouse fighters). And he may set a new record if he will successfully defend his title against Thales Leites.

I actually can't say as I do not get to see all the PPV(pay per view) fights.*sigh*Things change so quickly when it comes to winning.I do have to say The Spider's long legs do a lot for him. :o)He won't win forever though. Now days you never know.

For me personally welterweight champ Georges St.Pierre is the dominant fighter in UFC today, he is WELL ROUNDED in every aspect of MIXED martial arts. Wrestling, Jiu-Jitsu, and striking (boxing, and kick boxing) is what he trains on. He learns from every fight, meaning that every fight makes him better and better. When he enters the ring its like a new version of him is about to fight.
