"God's System"

Hey everyone, I find that when I approach certain people about receiving the Word of God and accepting Jesus as Personal Lord and Saviour, the word "system" causes a stir, and is during conversation, labelled as belonging to certain characteristic of races. My question is: (1) "How do I reach or simplify that God's way is the right way, and should be use as a guide to our daily way of living?? (2) People who are not easily persuaded into this acceptance have a lot a diverse conceptions about the "Mirror Image" of Christians, before and now. What ideas can you share to change the negative outlook society has on Christian believers, and (3) Is "Fear" a main contributor to this breakdown? "FEAR" in my view meaning: Not strong in faith, holding on to history ( not buring the dead, terrified of what society thinks and not God. Things of this aspect. Tell me what you think Jackie

hi jackie, i think we should start realizing that the truth exist behind (almost) every religion and other spiritual practice. we should realize that the truth doesn't only belong to your religion alone. i understand that as a christian, you really believe that jesus the the only savior, the only way to god. but not all people believe the same. believing means we don't know or we haven't seen the proof but we are convinced. it implies that what you believe is not proven yet. it implies that what you believe hasn't been proven as true or the only one which is true. we also should star exploring the deep meaning of the bible. we should dig it and doesn't just take it literally.

Hey Sutanhartanto:Ok let me understand. My question was to establish ideas to a concern: "negative outlook on Christianity and if fear is a factor." I am getting a lot of mix signals to this statement. My religion is being interrogated and people are even telling me about issues they have with religions. One person went into detail as to telling me they don't believe in God. That is not my affair, if that person, whom I wrote to, have an idea to share, share it, if you don't, just don't comment. If you are not religious, why are you in this forum at all. To release some tension. I comprehend with some of what you are saying, but does it answer the questions put forward. I guess the approach to what I wanted to know was misinterpreted. I ask for ideas or shared thoughts about changing a situation into a positive one and if fear was a factor contributing to this negativity. That was all I asked.... Jackie

hi jackie, i am a christian but i don't agree with what many christians do to spread their belief. the narrow minded christians who thinks that jesus is the only savior and the only way to get salvation; those who think like that are definitely don't understand what jesus taught. they just interpret the bible literally, not wanting to dig the bible to find the real valuable treasures in it. (i don't know it's because of the laziness to think or other reasons). i think such christians are responsible to the negative outlook on christianity. i think instead of trying to convince people to follow what you believe verbally, it's better just to be a good christian. be a nice and kind people, help others, do what jesus said. be a good example of christian. if they who believe and not believe in jesus and christianity witness it, i think get the negative outlook will rid easily. regarding the fear, i don't think it plays an important roles here.

Hi Sutanhartanto:I agree. Their is a difference in the practice. I am in my early 40s and I do alot of research. I saw this site and it drew interest to me to get different opinions from other religions to find out in some mid-way to see if our beliefs are of the same concept. Forgive me if I sounded out of place, but I realize some customs are not the same, and this are intrepreted wrong. Some of us are responsible for what is happening today. Indeed we should carry the Jesus Concept. You mentioned about we believe Jesus is the only savior, but you did not say the only only way to God. Why is that? or Does " I am the way, the truth, and the light, No one cometh to the Father, but by me." has no signifance.

I can give you a tip for point 2 - the negative image that Christians have. Christians should stop persecuting people whose lifestyles they do not approve of. They should stop condemning members of other faiths and they should start doing the things Jesus told them to do like giving to the poor.

Hey Tanewha, I am taking a guess here that we are not on the same wave link. I live in the Caribbean and our Christian believes here in Barbados are not as such to persecute, at least not at My church. When we bring the word we respect what others say. Of course we won't tolerate the bashing of Jesus's name or obscenities towards God. If the person is not interested or as my friend says "he believes in his own faith, HIMSELF", that is my "q" at least to move on to the other person. If in the end I have not accompolish my task, which is seldom, Thank God. Probably they do things different in the Bigger countries, outside, that is why I ask the question..What ideas you could share. I am one that wants to improve our Mirror Image. I agree to the one idea shared, following Jesus's approach to the needy (meaning, the lost.) We needed to read the Holy Book more often. My sister does not believe in God, at least she believes in a "Supreme Being", but I challenge her to read the Holy Bible, do research talk to people from different religious back grounds and compile her efforts. Instead of using pitfalls as a gesture to: "Their is no God" I know some people don't believe there is a God, but some of those same people always use His name, when trouble befalls them. If you don't believe in Him, why call His name???

A neutral one can't accept everything he hear, so there must have some cut & dry proofs to support what you say. Myself a Muslim, I have simple ways to express about God and the aim of life. Concept of Islam is not complicated. Regarding negative outlook: it depends on which are it refers to. Everybody used to hear "Islamic terrorists". Islam denounce terrorism. And when people understand what actual Islam is they are pleased. But only the people those who have open mind to learn and understand anything. If they just to react with their prejudice ideas. Fear also there because of the rumours roam around, when it comes to adopt a belief. The strongness of faith must come from one's inner self. Most cultures have some beliefs, same goes in Caribbean islands as well, they will have a belief in a supreme being and they might have some rituals related to it. Even in tribal people in Africa have some beliefs. I have had talk to Caribbean man(West Indies), his family was Christian. We used to talk about Islam and Christianity and he is very much interested, my friend gave him an English translation of Quran and he curiously reading it sometimes. "God is One, absolute, eternal, omnipotent, neither beget, nor begotten, none comparable unto him" Peace
