Telecom regulator TRAI has allowed ISPs Internet service providers to offer unrestricted Internet telephony services a move that will further boost competition in the domestic long distance segment and lower STD tariffs Basically TRAIs recommendations will permit calls from PCs to fixed line as well as mobile phones Currently a voice call can be made between two connected computers but not from a computer to a mobile or a fixed phone at least not legally
