Does your country/community cramp or subdue ur freedom to practice your religion

I stay in a secular country and so far I have never felt subdued or under threat at any time. I enjoy my belief in God, have healthy discussions with people of other faiths, and mingle freely with others. Apparently there are regions in my country where this is not possible. How is it where you stay? This is just an open-ended question and I hope we can have a healthy discussion with different views.
