OMG ok my friend has had her monthly,for 4 days now. Horrible str8 pouring out of her. She changes every 15 minutes and ontop of that today she had heart palpatations and almost passed out. Not to mention cloating! But, get this the ER won't do anything to help her. They gave her meds to slow down the bleeding ok? Then they tell her that she will be fine till she gets to the gyn which is in another week plus but shes borderline for a transfusion right now. Also when she does go to the gyn they tell her to go to the ER. OMG people shes gonna die before someone helps her! Her stomachs all puffed out and she started out with an excursiating pain in the right side. I told her I think her ovarie bursts. Which happened with her other one in the past..What does she do shes at a loss! Is it the insurance that she has or just the hospital which sucks anyway. I am ready to call their sponsor upmc for you and tell them who they are supporting!

Your friend should definately be going to the ER even if she has to go to a hospital a little further away. Her insurance shouldn't matter. ER's are not allowed by law to turn anyone away even if they don't have any insurance at all. Looking into the legal aspect is fine, but she needs medical attention now, not later.

Call 9-1-1. If the ER wont help, and the GYN wont help, she needs to get someone to check it out! So, call 911, thats probably the only way she will get any help!

I wish that did help but no, even then they turn her away!I am in the process of looking into a lawyer in this matter. Tired of them sitting on their hands and acting like shes a waste case!
